The Class Divide

March 23rd, 2009 · 2 Comments

If you needed proof of the growing divide between the political pundit, Beltway class and the average American, take a look here.

While most Americans agree that the AIG bonus debacle is outrageous, the fact of the matter is that most of us are not quite as obsessed with it as the corporate media and beltway crowd. The world of AIG is far away from the reality of most and while the economy is the number one concern, justifiably, of most Americans I think people would rather have job creation than have the Republicans and Democrats waste more time and taxpayer dollars pontificating and prancing like peacocks across the Senate and House floor as they use the AIG scandal to bond with their constituents.

Stumble It!

This is pretty much “right on target”.

The interesting thing is that Obama is defending Geithner, and will likely continue to keep him in place since he is focusing on the “political class” more than the “populist class” despite the fact that he often mouths the “populist” rhetoric (like he did last week on AIG along with all the Republicans and Democrats).

But, hey, what did we expect? Change?

Speaking of “Class Divide”, we have th3 Dalai Lama on one side, and Barney Frank on the other! They each have a different approach in dealing with those they criticize:
